Registration

In order to register for the QTS skills tests you will need a registration number. This is issued to you by your initial teacher training (ITT) provider (university, college, School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) or EBITT).

If you have lost your registration number please email skillstests@pearson.com with your name, date of birth, training provider, and email address so that this can be issued to you. You should receive a reply to your email within 2 working days (excluding Saturday and Sunday).

When you have your registration number, enter it accurately on the registration page together with the other details requested. Please complete the registration details carefully (using upper and lower case i.e. Robert Smith), particularly for your name, address, email address and details of your training provider, to ensure that we can contact you to give you your username and password or resolve any enquiries you may have.

If you previously required special arrangements in a test or public examination you will be able to request the same special arrangements for the QTS skills tests. When registering for the tests, you need to state whether or not you require any special arrangements when prompted. You should also inform your training provider of your particular need at the beginning of the academic year. This will help to ensure that you receive the correct provisions.

Once you have registered and received a username and password, you will be able to book tests at a test centre of your choice (see Booking Tests). You are able to start booking tests as soon as you feel confident enough to do so.

If you have already completed your teacher training course please use the registration number previously provided to you by your training provider.
